#grateful for a rainy start to the day, unexpected as it was not forecast, with a second shower mid-morning; for a busy morning, preparing for a client Status meeting; for a Bakoven walk; for electrician Rod coming for the sixth time to fix a Day/Night light not working 😱; for fetching my post at the Vlaeberg Post Office on Loop Street, all Waterfront box holders having to fetch their post here now, due to the Waterfront Post Office having closed and renovations taking place there, it taking 15 minutes to receive my post over the counter; for a relaxed Utopia and Anatoli Status Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to Labotessa Café ; Sour Service Award goes to ESKOM!

 

The Sweet Service Award goes to Labotessa Café, and its owner Johan du Plessis, for comping the Appeltaart and cream when I went there on Monday to celebrate the City of Cape Town Mayoral Civic Award which was handed over on Wale Street, not far from the Labotessa Hotel. #grateful for a special start to the week; for catching up on work; for a walk to Bakoven; for a pop in at Honest Café, with a new restaurant upstairs; for receiving a Mayor’s Civic Award for service to the community of Camps Bay, not just for picking up litter but also for keeping Ward Councillor Nicola Jowell informed of maintenance and security issues in Camps Bay, I being one of three recipients in Camps Bay, with Theresa Massaglia and Alan Marsh, and only three recipients in Ward 54, which includes Sea Point and Camps Bay, a huge honour; for the great company of recipients we were in; Continue reading →
