#Grateful for good rain overnight; for a far cooler day, almost back to winter, at 16C; for a walk to Bakoven in the morning, and to Woolworths in the afternoon, seeing the first Starbucks store branding next to the Pick n Pay; for bumping into Andy Jo, one of two German swallow couples who have just returned to Camps Bay, just before our country was closed down to Germany, and Germany goes into a second Lockdown from Monday; for a first client status meeting, so excited about all the news opportunities lying ahead; for a good shopping experience at the newish Pick n Pay on Strand Street; and for being happy and healthy. šš Continue reading →

At the launch of the first book by Denise Cowburn-Levy at Bokeh Creative Space in Sea Point last night, I was lucky to win a copy of her book āAround my Tableā, for knowing the answer to a question relating to Chef Liam Tomlin, described by Denise as her mentor. Ā The 260 page book is part memoir, part travel book to the West Coast, Greece, Italy, and Thailand, and part recipe book, with food associations with each region and country of her travels, including those of Cape Town.
