#Grateful for a sunny day, slightly cooler at 19C; for a long deep sleep; for receiving another delivery of ingredients for the B-Well online cooking with Chef Jennifer Morris, which turned out to be great fun, doing it alone for the first time, missing my MasterChick Jenny Stephens; for a walk to Camps Bay this afternoon, meeting with Marius Blanc and Zahrah of The 41, to discuss our next Camps Bay Beach Clean Up รณn 31 October; for being able to borrow a potato peeler which I donโ€™t own, doing so little cooking, least of all of potatoes, from Chris Papayannes at Tindlovu, as Pick n Pay does not sell them; for dancing the rest of my steps to Kfm ๐Ÿ’ƒ; for receiving two Discovery Gameboard plays and 360 Miles; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

#Grateful for a mixed weather day, sunny this morning and drizzling now, with rain forecast throughout the night; for a non-writing morning, making up for it this afternoon when the International Travel regulations were announced; for a refreshing walk in Camps Bay, popping in at The 41 and at Tindlovu, and doing a shop at Woolies; for having my car cleaned and shined by Simbai, a mobile car washer, who came to my home ๐Ÿ™; for a combined Bakoven and Camps Bay walk, loving the clouds this afternoon; for two Discovery Gameboard plays, buying a Pick n Pay shopping voucher, my first; for dancing to Kfm ๐Ÿ’ƒ; for chatting to Jenny Stephens and Rufus Scholtz; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

#Grateful for a relaxed unstressed day, my Resting Heart Rate dropping even further; for a 17C sunny day on the slightly chilly side, especially when the South Easter picked up this afternoon; for writing an interesting story about the new Daily Maverick 168 newspaper; for seeing Henry again after he had five days off; for a littered walk through Camps Bay, lots to pick up; for fabulous service from the Pick n Pay Manager, to refund an overcharge on a cash payment, not having kept the slip and finding it via my Smartcard swipe โค๏ธ; for a second walk to Camps Bay to have dinner with Vivian Warby at Tindlovu in Camps Bay, serving South African cuisine; for an amazing call just received (21h00) from the City of Cape Town Water Department to establish the exact location of a water leak on the Victoria Road pavement, which I reported to the office of Nicola Jowell earlier today, to fix it tonight, a huge wow ๐Ÿ‘; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

#Grateful for a day of ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž, warmer today than yesterday despite a lower temperature forecast; for a late movie night last night, with the luxury for not having to get up early this morning; for Joel my homeless cleaner coming back to work after a monthโ€™s absence, with all sorts of dramas where they live at Safe Space, mainly having their possessions stolen; for doing a deep clean at Glen Beach, at the Maidenโ€™s Cove parking area, and really bad below the High School; for organizing a Beach Clean up for next Saturday, in honour of International Coastal Clean Up Day, together with Pick It Up run by Tracy Jackson and Rick Jackson; for a fabulous VitD snooze on the terrace all afternoon, getting a tan too; for another walk, through Bakoven, where I saw groups of youngsters walking towards Camps Bay without wearing masks ๐Ÿ˜ท๐Ÿ˜ฑ; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →
