Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful and cooler day; for getting my writing and meeting preparation done this morning; for a good Status meeting with my client; for a shop at Woolworths at St John’s, bumping into soon-to-be birthday boy John French and Alan Hoffman, so kind with all their compliments, and inviting me to a pre-celebration tea with them 💙; for my own celebratory ice cream at The Dairy Den, being spoilt with a huge portion; for an energizing brisk walk to Camps Bay and back, it being chilly with the wind having picked up and the sun having set just after 19h00, earning 300 steps; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

I have not seen such beautiful presentation of food and beverages in a Deli before, as I did at Fideli’s yesterday.

I became the first customer of the new Fideli’s, as I was looking for a gift to take to a lunch I was heading to, but of course could not resist filling up my own pantry with some of the delectable items. Continue reading →

Chef Peter Tempelhoff opens first own restaurant FYN in Speakers’ Corner in Cape Town city centre!

In an interesting move not seen before, La Colombe announced that its Restaurant Manager Jennifer HugĂ© would be leaving, after 14 years, to join a new city centre restaurant, but without providing details. Yesterday, the details were revealed, HugĂ© joining forces with Chef Ashley Moss in Chef Peter Tempelhoff’s new FYN Restaurant. The La Colombe restaurant group has no link to the new restaurant.
