Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a perfectly balanced day, cooler and not too hot at 24C, starting with rain this morning, forecast for last night; for getting out of the Litter debate, as I had work to do, via a little explosion mainly off-line, long overdue; for being industrious in posting for my clients and writing; for being able to spoil Gift with Pick n Pay vouchers which he can use to buy food for his family, made possible by a donation from Camps Bay resident Janette Hodgkinson, given to him when he worked for 3 Continue reading →

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a relaxed working day, having until lunchtime to finish the client posts, fitting in a Vit D shot on the terrace too; for a beach of a day, after the heavy South Easter last night; for a cut and colour at Hair by Isabella Page Morgan in Sea Point, dying of heat having the mask on for two hours, with no breeze; for shopping at Woolworths St John’s Piazza, always a service issue; for a quick hello to Celia Mauerberger at Frosted; for an ice cream treat at The Dairy Den; for getting home, having Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to Sandak Lewin; Sour Service Award goes to Clicks Sea Point!

The Sweet Service Award goes to Sandak Lewin, and its Portfolio Manager Vanessa Sillifant, for the fantastic service she is offering us as Trustees at EbbTide in Camps Bay. After two disastrous years of dealing with her predecessor Greg Anderson, who was inefficient, biased towards the other Trustees,  and grossly unprofessional, Vanessa was appointed to take over and has been a breath of fresh air.  She visited our building within three weeks of taking over our building, something Anderson had refused to do in his two years of dealing with our building! In the past three months she has efficiently assisted us in getting eleven maintenance projects done and dusted, and prevented an excessive R1 million Maintenance project from being implemented, which would have resulted in an exorbitant Special Levy! She is a no-nonsense person, fair, and decisive, and has created greater harmony amongst the four Trustees of our building in getting maintenance jobs done and decisions made, an amazing feat! The next project will be to tackle the Noise Disturbance issues…….! Continue reading →

Corona Lockdown Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a cool misty day, this morning and this afternoon, but the fog has moved away now, but Lions Head is hiding completely, looking like it’s covered in snow; for a hard working day, preparing for a client Status meeting; for a Bakoven walk; for a lovely Status meeting with my newest client Ian Halfon, really loving his responsiveness and receptiveness to my ideas, and that we meet in Camps Bay; for a pop in at the new Beach House in Camps Bay; for a quick shop at Pick n Pay; for a chat to Continue reading →
