#grateful for a fabulous Friday the 13th, happy and healthy after not feeling well yesterday; for a busy busy day, having to catch up on yesterday’s meetings which I had to cancel; for a hair colour by Isabella Page Morgan, postponing the cut to next week, as I ran out of time; for a lovely supportive meeting with Gaia Gift & Decor Boutique owner Landy Walker in the newkings boutique hotel at Zest Restaurant; for a wonderful Friday lunch at the home of Gary Peterson, on a perfect weather day, protected against the unseasonal South-Easter, shared with Rose Klein, Hans-Werner Klein, Terri Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to Dr Wim de Beer; Sour Service Award goes to Pick n Pay ASAP!

 

The Sweet Service Award goes to my Dentist Dr Wim de Beer, in the Waterfront, who assisted me at short notice when a dental implant cracked, and came loose. I was on my way to Gordon’s Bay, and he was leaving for a two week break before I returned to Cape Town. I had to delay my departure to Gordon’s Bay so that he could reinstall the implant. Best of all is that he didn’t charge me a cent for this emergency procedure. It was done so quickly that I got to Gordon’s Bay before it got dark, despite late afternoon traffic.  Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to Dr Wim De Beer; Sour Service Award goes to OUTsurance!

 

The Sweet Service Award goes to Dr Wim De Beer, of the Cosmetic & Dental Emporium in the Waterfront. Dr Wim is my dentist, having been responsible for my dental transformation over the past four years. One of the implants came out, and he was able to reinstate it within 24 hours of my request, during his lunch break, at a fair cost compared to having to make a new tooth.
