#grateful for a lovely Christmas Day, after a quiet Christmas Eve at home last night; for posting Christmas messages for each of my clients; for sharing the Christmas joy with the diners at Utopia, taking photographs of the full house today, with a lovely special Christmas Menu served, and for being invited to share the table with Maki Chase, her husband Steve Chase and Maki’s children, so kind and generous, served an egg nog (made with Amarula, rum, and Crème anglaise…. #grateful for a smooth flowing day, despite it being an upside down one, feeling like a Friday already; for my Discovery medical package change made by Maki Chase today; for meeting one of my Camps Bay Ratepayers Association colleagues at the Promenade, buying an HTH floater at Pick n Pay, and a bib at Camps Bay Hardware (organised via owner Jared Stein on holiday in Mauritius) for my new Gift cleaning helper, starting on Saturday; for spoiling myself with a light breakfast (not the best scrambled egg I’ve had) at The Pottery, but Manager Shaun being very helpful, bringing me a charger for my phone, showing me how they glaze Pottery and fire it in their kiln, for showing me the jewelry Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a day that looked like rain initially and was chilly, but cleared up to become sunny, at 21C; for a most lucky day of generosity bestowed upon me, receiving a delivery of Wagyu burger patties and a steak from Garth Angus of Wagyu Direct, for a tea treat and tons of info about joining Discovery Bank from Maki Chase at Schoon in Sea Point, for receiving a bottle of Merlot from Gary Peterson when I dropped off some of the patties, for a treat of a winetasting at Utopia Cape Town, loving The Valley Chardonnay, and for Utopia Chef Pavel asking me which dish I would like to eat….. choosing the kabeljou and scallops ❤️, making it a lovely Status meeting ; for collecting my Dinkel rolls; for a fabulous walk combining Camps Bay and Bakoven, and blessed with the most beautiful sunset, and for crossing over into 20300 Discovery points🙏; for managing to finish this post just in time, before we are Loadshedding at 20h00; for Minsky getting back safely after being out the whole night; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a warm 26C day, windstill, with another such day forecast for tomorrow; for a writing morning, followed by a deep clean of my apartment, getting up to 5000 steps before I left for a proper walk in Camps Bay, including a shop at Woolies, needing croissants for my guests this afternoon; for getting help from gorgeous Llewellyn to become the admin of the client’s Facebook page 🍎; for the surprise of receiving two Discovery Gameboard plays, despite not having received any points since I hit Diamond status about 10 days ago; for an easy transition from Discovery Coastal Core to Classic Smart, costing only R19 more per month and heaps more medical and dental benefits, Maki Chase holding my hand virtually 🙏; for a R164 Discovery Insure cash back for driving less; for the honour of being interviewed by THE 6 foot 6 inches Derek Watts today, in my home, more details to come when it is aired; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
