Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a 23C day, with the wind only picking up this afternoon; for both Imtiaz and Carmen of my cleaning team being at work today, tackling half of Geneva Drive with me; for getting some water to drink from WCafé at Woolworths after our strenuous walk, with a 200 Discovery point bonus for me; for a snooze this afternoon with My Grey lying next to my pillow, his sleeping place; for a second Camps Bay walk with Carmen, in the greater Tidal Pool area; for a fabulous spoil by Pick n Pay of a bulk pack of Smarties at the promised Black Friday price of 33% off, the box arriving 2 1/2 months later; for not even being aware of Loadshedding starting at 12h00, not affecting me at all; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for another warm day, at 27C, and no wind, with rain forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning, fog rolling in now; for surviving the day with very little sleep; for getting my work done this morning, and still having enough time to go for a Camps Bay walk, it being very quiet, and The 41 being the first restaurant closing in Camps Bay, until 15 February; for collecting poppy seed rolls at Dinkel Bakery, which Cain kindly kept for me; for the best service ever at the Civic Centre to get my new car registration disc, I being the only person there, it taking no more than 5 minutes 💙; for a good client Status meeting; for popping in at Pilcrow & Cleaver, buying a wild mushroom Ragu dish to take home and some items from Fideli’s, bumping into Katie & Jonny Friedman there; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for a hot 30C day, with just a breeze now; for a strenuous Camps Bay walk with Imtiaz, cleaning half of Camps Bay Drive, from Houghton Road to Ingleside Road, gaining 300 Discovery points; for Johnny Nortje driving with me to fetch the kitten Mr Grey (of 50 Shades of….,) in Plumstead, stopping for a half an hour lunch at Botanicum in Constantia; for Mr Grey being at home immediately, exploring, sitting on my lap at my desk, and sleeping next to me; for receiving 560 points in two Discovery Gameboard plays; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
