Wednesday 29 April 2020, Day 34 of SA Lockdown, Day 45 of SA Corona Virus 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another stunning day, with a bit of mist early this morning; for a long walk to the shops, and to the home of Petra to collect my new cotton masks; for good service at the Camps Bay pharmacy; for a fabulous Vit D snooze on the terrace; for the delivery of some more BioMedCan SLEEP CBD capsules by courier; for being reassured by Councillor Nicola Jowell about going into Level 4 on Friday; for it being International Dance Day today, and for how starting dancing three and a half years has changed my life, bringing out my inner 18 year old teenager, and is keeping me fit and healthy💃; for two Discovery Vitality Gameboard plays today; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙

I wrote a Blogpost about the Finance Minister warning restaurants to increase the percentage of South African staff after Lockdown. I’m sure this is intended for business in general.

Corona Virus Lockdown: Restaurants encouraged to employ local rather than foreign staff!

I’m really worried about the risk of infections in supermarkets via the staff. Yesterday the Clicks Warehouse in Montagu Gardens and Pick n Pay Waterfront were closed. Terribly sad to see that two Checkers staff at Bayside Mall died, and 19 more were infected. I was served by a Checkers Sea Point cashier on Saturday, who said she wasn’t feeling well. Today on my walk to the shops five Pick n Pay staff were hanging around the lawns, in two groups, right next to each other. No distancing at all. Told me they are Essential workers and hence they can sit outside and are safe…. Three Woolworths staff sat in the parking area, also not correct distancing. And the managers seem to not care, with an expression of ‘we tell them all the time but they don’t listen’. 🥵🥵🥵

The Take-Away Food Delivery Facebook page is keeping me busy, with lots of persons offering their driving services. There are more than 60 restaurants and food suppliers listed now, most on the Atlantic Seaboard and in the Southern Suburbs. Grateful for over 1200 members. 🙏💙

It was suggested to me by Charmaine Horsburgh that my Maya needs a sarong, so I found a perfect one in turquoise, with a matching scarf as a face mask. 😷❤️

Look forward to another ‘exciting’ speech by Minister Dlamini-Zuma tonight…. 😱 Having wine…. never know what to expect… Oi vey, exercise only from 6h00 – 9h00, within a 5 km radius …. ridiculous 🥵🥵🥵🥵 Cigarette ban continues…. 🥵

Corona Virus Lockdown: Government announces final Level 4 regulations commencing on 1 May 2020, reverses cigarette sales and allows exercise!

SA Corona Status : 5350 cases 103 deaths 😷😥

FitBit 14000 steps 10 km 👣

Lovemylife❤️

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, and lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
