Wednesday 16 June 2021, Youth Day, Day 1 of Level 3 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#grateful for a relaxed day, having the day off from my Wednesday client 🙏; for surviving on reduced sleep due to another wild party in our building, in the same party apartment of Ebbtide Apartment 201 owner Sacha Jack 😡; for light rain overnight as well as at midday, cooling things down to 17C, and more to come tomorrow; for great bread shopping at the Paris Cape Town Boulangerie, buying a delicious poppyseed baguette and a brioche containing raisins, tasting a little like a hot cross bun mmmm; for a tea treat at Greg Loyd’s The Villa Rosa in Sea Point, he showing me some of their beautiful rooms, with a picture of Madiba in each room, and telling me about their resident ghost; for a Youth-ful ice cream cone to celebrate Youth Day at The Dairy Den; for a refreshing walk through Bakoven and to the Tidal Pool; for a fabulous 🔥 sunset; for 2 Discovery Gameboard plays, giving me a new Woolies voucher; for being lucky to miss a head on collision in a blind corner in Clifton when a woman driver overtook a rubbish truck by driving into my lane 😡😡😡; and for being happy, healthy and free. 🙏💙
New renters checked into the same apartment with the noise disturbance over the past 5 nights, and at 2h30 this morning I woke up from full blast music in our building! I went to speak to them today, after asking them very nicely yesterday to respect the others in the building and to not make a noise! They claimed that the music was only on a ‘little’. They are from Saudi Arabia I learnt, no wonder they didn’t understand when I told them about the Curfew – they were not told by anyone checking them in! I warned them against trying to repeat this ‘performance’ 😡😡😡😡😡😡
I’ve discovered a new variation to ‘home office’, being ‘bed office’, the perfect weather day for it. 😱🧡

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, and moved back to level 3 on 16 June, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
