Monday 11 May 2020, Day 11 of Level 4, after 35 days of Level 5 Lockdown. 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful day, at 22 C, and a lovely sunset; for an excellent walk up to Fourth Beach Clifton this morning, so good that I received 300 Discovery points without having finished my 10000 steps, my Cardio being over 70% of my normal heart rate ❤️; for being able to shop straight after Exercise Time, even though we had to wait in a queue outside Woolworths until it opened at 9h00; for being able to collect my two new black and white polka dot masks from Petra Quinlan, and to drop off a pair of shorts needing some repair work; for finding a router lying in Rottingdean Lane steps, which I’ve circulated a pic of on Facebook; for posting more restaurants to the Food Delivery List, exceeding 400 restaurants by tomorrow morning, and exceeding 3000 members; for writing Blogposts for later this week; for a long chat to Jenny; for a wonderful Vit D dose; for being featured in a video on Instagram by my Canadian tour operator about what the first thing is that’ll do when Lockdown ends; and for feeling happy and healthy.🙏💙

It’s my ‘baby’ sister Bettina’s birthday today. I miss her so much. ❤️

The Exercise Time was much quieter this morning, surprising me that so many weekend walkers and joggers are clearly back at work.No Coffee Congregation today. Maison J is registering as a Grocer now, so that they can sell food too. Bizarre to see a young man kite-skating near Maiden’s Cove for his exercise.

On my way home I popped in at the police station, speaking to Captain Chandler. Now another owner is creating problems in the apartment block, in addition to a battle of disparagement and attack going on all afternoon from two other owners. I stayed right out of it even though it is aimed at me, without proof. Phew, I can’t stand them. 🥵

I posted a Blogpost about my Top 10 list of things to do and see in Camps Bay, written originally for a UK publication.

Travel & Tourism: Top 10 things to do and see in Camps Bay, Cape Town!

I took out the rubbish bins, and the City of Cape Town truck only arrived at 18h00. Out of three staff walking alongside the truck, only one had a mask on! 🥵

I did some cooking and food ordering for later this week.

It’s just started drizzling, not expected, part of a strong South Easter 😱☔️

SA Corona Status: 10652 cases 206 deaths 😷😢

FitBit 16 000 steps 12 km 👣

Lovemylife❤️

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, and lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
