Thursday 1 July 2021, Day 4 of Lockdown Level 4. 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#grateful for more rain, mainly this morning but raining again now ☔️, and wonderful to see the sun for a while for a change, with a wonderful sunset, creating lots of pink on the clouds over the Twelve Apostles and in Bakoven; for two heart clouds 💗; for surviving another apartment noise disturbance night 😱; for a good working morning, preparing for two client meetings; for two Bakoven walks, one at lunchtime, and another after my meeting late afternoon; for my rolls waiting for me at Dinkel Bakery; for a good Status meeting for Anatoli and Utopia, with Dilmah tea and lovely biscuits, always a treat, and photographing new wines on the Anatoli winelist, Raki, and their new Lavazza coffee, drinking one espresso ☕️ – hope I can sleep tonight; and for being happier, healthy, and free. 🙏💙
My Blogpost today was a list of all the restaurants offering Delivery/Collection of Food during Level 4, in Cape Town and the Winelands. Please message me if you know of more restaurants which I can add to the list.
Restaurants offering Food Delivery/Collection during 2021 Level 4 Lockdown: Cape Town and Winelands.
At 1h30 this morning I had to call Camps Bay CSI security company, which in turn called the police, for horrific noise disturbance, once again in the Ebbtide 201 apartment belonging to Sacha Jack. The Dubai renter was hysterical about a Rolex (uninsured, worth the value of a number of cars he told me…..) and a backpack which he claims were stolen from the apartment, discovered at 22h00. Three hours later he was still crying like a baby, drowning his sorrow with friends who became louder and louder. 🥵. I went to see him this afternoon and read him the riot act! He was still in Pyjamas which he wore when the police and security visited him for the noise disturbance! I have decided to charge the apartment owner for every noise disturbance her clients make! 🥵 I’m certainly going through a tough time in my apartment block at the moment. I will NEVER buy in an apartment block again! 🥵🥵🥵🥵
My heart is breaking for my Restaurant friends, crying in seeing their businesses struggling to weather this Level 4 closure storm. Please support them if you can order in. Sadly we will be seeing more restaurants closing down. One is closing in Sea Point tomorrow 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I’ve been feeling very sad this week, and disoriented – my week has lost its rhythm, and so have my days. I was so used to my routine. Today’s meeting at Anatoli was the most normal aspect of this week, reminding me that life carries on, excited about planning a reopening special. Let’s hope it is sooner rather than later.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March 2020 and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January 2021, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, moved back to Adjusted Level 2 on 31 May, moved back to level 3 on 16 June, and moved back to Adjusted Level 4 on 28 June is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
