Tuesday 28 July, Day 58 of Level 3, after 66 days of Levels 5 and 4 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for another beautiful sunny day, with a lovely sunset; for a very long 9,5 hour sleep in two bouts, Minsky being a good girl and not waking me up; for the joy of being reunited with five precious Russian silver champagne glasses which I thought I had lost, and had let go of them… until Henry and I found them when we tidied up my storeroom, finding a bottle of red wine too, sent by a PR company a year ago when I was traveling, and for finding two very large paintings with a marine theme, which are perfect to hang in my single spare room, adding a good blue touch to a very white room, the tidy-up bringing such joy ❤️; a walk through Camps Bay and Bakoven, it sadly being very quiet in all the restaurants; for the indulgence of an electric blanket, warming me up in my bed; for having no stress or worries today; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
It was 16C today, it looking warm with the sun shining, but a South-Easter was blowing lightly again, having a very nippy bite, and I don’t get cold easily. I’m already in bed to warm up. ❤️
I wrote the story about Tintswalo reopening its hotel and restaurant tomorrow, the restaurant now called Tintswalo Kitchen, with a former The Shortmarket Club Chef Sean Klette heading up the kitchen, offering a brand new menu, and now welcoming locals. 😊
I was so happy with my storeroom discoveries that I decided that a little celebration is in order, so I ordered the Twosday pizza special at Col’Cacchio Camps Bay, two for the price of one, sending Henry home with one of them as a thank you. 🙏
It appears that another big Restaurant/Hospitality protest is planned for Friday, in vehicles, moving into the city centre from the Northern suburbs. 😱

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, and lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
