Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a beauty of a day, at 26C; for being spoilt with a fabulous breakfast at The 41 restaurant by Emma Faquharson; for signing the release form for participating in the Carte Blanche program soon, possibly next Sunday, with a coffee visit by producer Michael Duffet; for sorting out a conflict between two of the Community Cleaners, luckily amicably; for spending an hour cleaning up on both sides of the Tidal Pool with Community Cleaners John and Carmen; for time for a Vit D snooze on the terrace, a blessing after a busy week; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a very relaxed day, after sleeping late due to watching German TV too late last night; for a lovely laidback Brunch at Manna Epicure with Vivian Warby, both of us wanting to get out of the Camps Bay busyness; for a walk through Camps Bay, reasonably busy, but the wind picking up sent some visitors packing up and returning home earlier, sadly with litter left behind; for very courteous service by a new cashier at Pick n Pay when I went to buy the Daily Maverick 168; for a long birthday call to my cousin Ulrike Payne in Germany; for a chat with Stuart Bailey, so happy that his new Fat Harryโ€™s restaurant is doing so well; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a beautiful sunny 21C day, the calm before the storm with four days of wind lying ahead; for sleeping and sleeping, totalling 8 and a half hours, clearly needing a catch up sleep after a busy week, and keeping me away from the fridge; for a litter clean up walk up Houghton Road, up to Ingleside Road, and little lanes nearby, quickly filling up a garbage bag, bringing one along as there are few green bins away from the beach, followed by a walk through Bakoven; for another productive Social Media morning; for seeing my cats lap up the afternoon treat of a Whiskas Jelly pouch, loving them ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป; for half of my salad ingredients coming from my veggie garden; for dancing to DJ Fresh on Kfm to complete my steps for the day; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a beautiful day, at about 23C, still good before a weekend of rain awaits us ๐Ÿ˜ฑ; for two Discovery Gameboard plays, probably my last double play as I am receiving no points, seeming to have reached my exercise points limits; for a morning of writing; for a Camps Bay walk, stopping at okja (ex Maison J) to take photographs – the staff seem sad that everything has changed so; for a Vit D boost on the terrace; for a walk through Bakoven; for the City of Cape Town Parks staff coming to mow the grass alongside the Bali Bay fence, after many weeks of begging, sadly now seeing all the litter that was hidden beneath it; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →
