Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful 27C day, with a breeze now; for a very organized working morning, breaking up what had to be done into time slots; for Imtiaz checking in for duty, removing weeds in the Stream at the Tidal Pool 🙏; for a good meeting with my client; for a late afternoon walk up to Maiden’s Cove and back, the breeze cooling things down and earning me 500 Miles today; for a phone chat to Stuart Bailey and Jenny Stephens; for making 1900 Discovery Miles in the first week of this year; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a cool start of the day with a light drizzle turning into a sunny afternoon; for surviving a short restless sleep night; for the luck of seeing a massive pod of dolphins close to Bakoven, taking a quick break in my writing to see it closer up, and for Henry videoing it; for attending a wine tasting at Utopia thisReenen  afternoon; for indulging in a leg wax with Steffanie at the Skin Studio in Sea Point; for a shop at Woolies Sea Point; for a quick walk up a lane to check for litter I was told about; and for being healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a special day of being cared for and spoilt by two lovely ladies, Jenny Stephens and Chef Judi Fourie, taking my KitKat heartache away a little 💙💙; for a busy short morning, preparing for my weekly client status meeting; for a clean-up walk with my team in Bakoven this morning; for a good Earl Grey tea and croissant at Origin Coffee Roasters in De Waterkant, Jenny entertaining me with her stories since we last saw each other; for my client status meeting going well, so happy to hear that they have been fully booked last night and tonight, and the weekend looks busy too; for popping in at the first Thursday Night Market at the Old Biscuit Mill; for a spontaneous treat dinner at Pilcrow & Cleaver, Chef Judi giving me the whole bottle of The Valley Pinot Noir to take home when I was happy to just have a glassful, and for comping the meal too, such amazing kindness 🙏; for meeting artist Benjamin Salvatore at his exhibition at Speakers’ Corner, across the road from Pilcrow & Cleaver, having been invited by Katie Friedman, and being offered a Cointreau & Tonic, very tasty and refreshing; for the good news that the Western Cape is not affected by the tighter Lockdown regulations announced by our President this evening; and for being healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

#Grateful for a cool day, at 18C, with a little rain at midday, making it nice and cozy in bed all morning, going on a Social Media posting spree; for a walk to Camps Bay, Rose Klein and Hans-Werner Klein driving past and stopping for a chat, making a date for next Saturday; for a lovely sunset this evening; for popping in at Utopia, to hear SiAnne Wilkens sing, and to photograph some of their dishes; and for being happy and healthy 🙏💙 Continue reading →
