Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a relaxed unstressed day, my Resting Heart Rate dropping even further; for a 17C sunny day on the slightly chilly side, especially when the South Easter picked up this afternoon; for writing an interesting story about the new Daily Maverick 168 newspaper; for seeing Henry again after he had five days off; for a littered walk through Camps Bay, lots to pick up; for fabulous service from the Pick n Pay Manager, to refund an overcharge on a cash payment, not having kept the slip and finding it via my Smartcard swipe ❀; for a second walk to Camps Bay to have dinner with Vivian Warby at Tindlovu in Camps Bay, serving South African cuisine; for an amazing call just received (21h00) from the City of Cape Town Water Department to establish the exact location of a water leak on the Victoria Road pavement, which I reported to the office of Nicola Jowell earlier today, to fix it tonight, a huge wow 👏; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a sunny day, feeling much warmer even if it was only 16C max; I was excited that Vivian Warby agreed to meet for tea, so we chose Firefly CafĂ©, it becoming a breakfast, with lots of catching up 💙; for walking up to Clifton to clear up around a bin below Camps Bay High School which was surrounded with litter when I drove past it yesterday, but a dear angel had tidied up most of it already, so I picked up the litter remains; for Camps Bay being nice and busy, visitors clearly loving sitting in the sun of the restaurants on the strip; for a sun snooze on the terrace; for a walk through Bakoven; and for being happy and healthy. Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a weather transformation from rain and cold this morning to sunny and warmer this afternoon, accompanied by a mood lift; for a later lie-in, until I had to leave for Sea Point, with a number of chores and treats; for a Vit D dose and doze on my terrace; for a refreshing late afternoon walk in Camps Bay, sounding like one continuous Disco from the Hard Rock CafĂ© down to Mynt, with Tiger’s Milk the busiest of them all; for dancing to the Kfm Blok Party; for seeing so many 💙 clouds today; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
