Friday 22 May 2020, Day 22 of Level 4, after 35 Days at Level 5 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for another beautiful day, at 20C, and the 12C when leaving home for Exercise Time didn’t even feel cold when I started walking; for getting as far as Clifton First Beach, with far less litter to pick up along the way, making 9000 steps and a good Cardio workout, bumping into Mahmud Fredericks on the way; for a peaceful day spent at home; for some Vit D therapy on the terrace; for reaching a total of 502 restaurants and exceeding 3900 members on the Restaurant Food Delivery list ❤️; for the ultimate spoil of having a box of exquisite flower-designed Vegan cupcakes (right) delivered to me by Daniella Gioia of DVG Bakehouse this morning, a member of the Facebook Group 🙏; for a long chat with Johan Prins, who did the Tourist Guiding course with me; for surviving eight weeks of Lockdown so far; and for being healthy and happy 🙏💙

I wasn’t amused by a cluster aka hotspot (using current Covid lingo) of cyclists congregating on the pavement opposite Pick n Pay, no Social Distancing, cycles lying on the pavement, few wearing masks, crowding the space, so that exercisers like I couldn’t get past. When I asked them to please make space, they laughed…. 🥵 There was no coffee involved. It was busier in general on the route to Clifton.

I completed my Sweet and Sour Service Awards Blogpost this morning, going to the City of Cape Town and Cellucity/Vodacom, respectively.

Sweet Service Award goes to City of Cape Town; Sour Service Award goes to Cellucity/Vodacom

Minsky 🐱 has definitely been allocated to me, but arrangements for collection have to be made with her current Foster dad. I am learning patience, she coming to me when the time is right. KitKat 🐱 is as cute as ever, doing his morning/afternoon visits and then wandering off for most of the day. I’m learning Letting Go, as he seems to always return at a set time, I wondering how a cat senses time. He has taught me so much, which I’m sure will stand me in good stead for Minsky.

I danced to Kfm and updated the Facebook Group this afternoon.

SA Corona Status: 20125 cases 397 deaths 😷😢

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier this week to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, and lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
