Sunday 4 October 2020, Day 14 of Level 1, Day 192 of Lockdown. ๐Ÿ˜ท

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a wonderful day all round, the weather superb, my first Lockdown brunch, and my first dancing at La Parada Constantia Nek since the beginning of Lockdown; for the City of Cape Town coming to collect the broken glass this morning just as I went for a walk, happy that I could express my thanks to the staff personally; for fetching croissants from Maison J, having pre-ordered them; for feeling far safer in Camps Bay today, with 10 Law Enforcement Officers, two traffic police cars, and a Metro Police car proactively present in Camps Bay; for a wonderful Heritage Brunch at my home, lasting six hours, the second longest one ever; for the happiness of going back to La Parada Constantia Nek, seeing so many people from the pre-Lockdown dance nights there, yet it was so different, with minimal dance space, but the highlight was The Kiffness playing; for surviving a taxi overtaking me in a curve of the road and scraping my car on my way home, but not seeing any damage to my car (yet); and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for an all-day rain day, not as cold as it was forecast, being warm inside my home; for getting a walking gap to Camps Bay at lunchtime, and to Bakoven after sunset, getting caught in a heavy shower, finding shelter under my rain protection tree until it stopped, allowing me to get home dry; for an energetic working morning, allowing me a cosy snooze in my warm bed this afternoon; for dancing to Kfm; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a laidback day, doing a lot of Social Media catching up from the comfort of my bed this morning ๐Ÿ˜ฑ; for a sunny day, even though not as warm as yesterday and the day before, because of a light cloud cover; for a walk to Fourth Beach Clifton, happy that there was minimal litter today and no torn garbage bags; for a spoil from the Maison J staff when I walked past, offering me some cinnamon doughnuts to take home, to be shared tomorrow; for another day in this fabulous spoiling week; for a lovely milestone birthday celebration dinner for Katie Friedman at Pilcrow & Cleaver, Chef Judi Fourie being hands-on in looking after us for our Sit-Down dinner; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a warm day caused by the pre-rain Berg wind, a winter week lying ahead of us from this evening; for Joel coming to help me clean up in Bakoven and Camps Bay; for seeing Eugene van Eck running past my home, doing a half marathon all the way from the Waterfront; for a relaxed afternoon; for a dinner spoil with Katie Friedman lying ahead; and for being happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →
