Sweet Service Award goes to BP President in Sea Point; Sour Service Award goes to McQueens!

The Sweet Service Award goes to BP President in Regent Road, Sea Point, and its amazing petrol attendant Mike, who greeted me with a โ€˜welcomeโ€™, and proactively asked if he could check the oil, water, and tyres of my car, also giving me proactive feedback about one of the tyres being slightly below the correct pressure. I have never experienced such service at Engen in the years that I fueled up there. Having switched to Discovery Insurance for my car, I have to fuel up at BP or Shell to gain member benefits.

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a most fabulous day, everything just falling into place; for being so happy with my ๐Ÿฑ family; for the rain and clouds clearing after rain overnight; for a busy work morning; for the most stunning rainbow ๐ŸŒˆ I saw on my way home, when it started raining, but the end result pic of it was so amazing that it did not matter at all that I got wet; for a good walk to Clifton Fourth Beach; for tea with Debbie, the owner of Sorbet Camps Bay, who showed me the new protocols in her shop; for having the most amazing luck with my photographs, the sunset ones earlier this week, and the Rainbow one today, posting them in Facebook Groups which are just about pretty pictures, not having known about them before, having massively high member numbers (in the 30000s) so it is not hard to get over 1000 likes for a photograph (In my next life Iโ€™m coming back as a photographer ๐Ÿ˜ฑ); for boldly and professionally writing to Sandak-Lewin, our apartment block managing agents, documenting all the issues we have with our Portfolio Manager, a huge relief when I got this off my chest; for dancing ๐Ÿ’ƒ to Kfm out of happiness this afternoon; for a lovely honest chat with Stuart Bailey; and for being very happy and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude ๐Ÿ™

#Grateful for a beautiful sunny day, feeling warmer than the 17C weather forecast of my Weather App; for two lovely walks through Bakoven and a Camps Bay one; for seeing Reinard Gerber, GM of the Bay Hotel, whom I didnโ€™t recognize with his mask on after not seeing him in three months, at Sunset Sessions, which they are reopening in the next few days; for bumping into local Rick Jackson, having just returned from his holiday, and into Howard, who I see almost daily on our walks in opposite directions in the main; for finally hearing from the Western Cape Provincial Department of Economic Affairs and Tourism, three weeks after I emailed a lady working there all the papers we were told to send to her, so that we can receive our Tourist Guiding Badge and card…. itโ€™s getting closer to the end now ๐Ÿ’™; for getting a Sorbet appointment on day 1 of reopening today….; for Minsky being a good lady today; and for feeling fit and healthy. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ Continue reading →
