Tuesday 11 May 2021, Day 72 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a most fabulous day, with surprises and super organized, packing a lot in; for an early start to my work, so that I could attend a 10h00 meeting, with the confirmation of my third restaurant client, this one brand new, opening next month, starting work on it straight away❤️; for amazing service to have a slow leak in my car tyre fixed at Supa Quick at the Total Garage on Main Road, Sea Point, taking 10 minutes and R100 to remove a screw 👏; for a celebratory chocolate shop at Tomes in the Waterfront, its Garden’s Centre branch having closed down; for a spoil cat food buy at Woolies, Whiskas pouches per box of 12 now Continue reading →

Sweet Service Award goes to Checkers Constantia Emporium; Sour Service Award goes to Checkers60!

The Sweet Service Award goes to Checkers at the Constantia Emporium,  at which I shopped earlier this week, just after 8h30. I’m not a supermarket lover, and have no affinity for Checkers as a brand, the only store I’ve been to on occasion being the one in the Point Mall in Sea Point, with poor service, especially at the tills. The newish Constantia Emporium Branch is fantastic, has massive space in clearly laid out aisles, as well as shops- in-the-shop, such as My Sugar. Tuesday 30 March 2021, Day 28 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#grateful for a well organized smooth-flowing day, being away from home from 7h30 – 17h30, taking Earl Grey to be sterilized at the vet in Diepriver; for getting my day’s writing done at Knead at the Constantia Enporium, spoilt by Ollie with pots of tea and a hot cross bun, their Wifi working perfectly; for a fabulous shop at Checkers at the mall, with lovely efficient and friendly cashiers, compared to Sea Point, and good offers and discounts 😱; for an eating drive to Muizenberg, all three my visits disappointing; for a lovely tea and apple tart treat at the home of Rose Klein and Werner, also in Diepriver, from where I fetched Earl Grey, looking good and not having any wounds or bandages, happy to see each other again 😻; for a very quick walk to Camps Bay and back, such good cardio that I earned 300 Discovery points; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Virus: Lockdown Journey Journal, Day 29 of Level 1, 29 March 2021

Monday 29 March 2021, Day 29 of Level 1 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a lovely day, warmer than forecast at 27C; for a very busy working day, the short week making itself felt; for a very short and sweet nap this afternoon after only 3 hours of sleep last night, energizing me to do a Bakoven and Camps Bay walk, spoilt with a lovely sunset, and 300 Discovery points, the first ones since Wednesday last week; for a call from Emily O’Ryan who promised me another follow-up interview for her book; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
