Thursday 29 April 2021, Day 60 of Level 1 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for the unexpected rain overnight, bringing autumn/winter weather, with only 17C today, a chilly bite in the wind; for a productive writing morning, preparing for my client meeting; for a power walk at midday, taking my secret uphill Bakoven route, earning 300 Discovery points, and ending with a shopping stop at Woolies and paying the rates & taxes at Pick n Pay; for my weekly dose of Dinkel rolls waiting for me; for a good meeting at Utopia, celebrating my six month anniversary of working on the brand with a Kir Royale, which I had to photograph for a Mother’s Day Lunch treat, a welcome drink for all the mothers in the house; for the always amazing service by Michael at BP President on Regent Road, washing all my car windows, always checking the oil and water, finding a doppie for one of my tyres, which another petrol attendant had forgotten to put back on, all part of my monthly fuel up, only having used half a tank of petrol this month; for another refreshing, invigorating walk to Bakoven with Vivian Warby; for doing a very good deed; and for being happy, healthy, and free. 🙏💙
My Blogpost today was the sad news that we do not have many international destinations that we as South Africans can travel to for the time being. 🥲
We haven’t been able to drink tap water for the past 24 hours! We should not even drink any boiled water. 😱
I am so sad that both our Pick n Pay Camps Bay managers have left without a goodbye. A huge #thankyou to Odwa and Thando for all the great service, especially in the early stages of Lockdown. I doubt I’ll be going to shop there in future, as the service has deteriorated noticeably 😡. The comparison is shopping at our Woolies, with a ‘hello Chris’ welcome from the till operator. ❤️
One of my client Instagram accounts has been hacked. And someone has tried to open a Scam Instagram account in my personal name. Please don’t follow any new account in my name – I haven’t opened one. 😡😡😡
Another day of many heart clouds 💙💙💙

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January, extended but relaxed on 1 February, and relaxed back to Level 1 on 1 March 2021, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
