Friday 26 February 2021, Day 63 of Level 3 Adjusted, Day 338 of Lockdown 😷
Corona Gratitude 🙏
#Grateful for a fabulous day, flowing smoothly, with more food indulgence and meeting new and old friends; for getting my work done early this morning; for breakfast at Firefly Café with Judy Lamprecht of Deja Brew in Strand, a member restaurant of my Lockdown Sit-Down, Delivery & Collection Restaurants Cape Town & Winelands Facebook Group, and her husband Michiel; for an energetic walk to Clifton and back, with good cardio, gaining a surprising 500 points; for getting overgrown tree branches from the next door erf cut back today; for a good meeting with a prospective client in Constantia; for a wonderful afternoon spent with Michele Antelme in her beautiful cottage and garden, having fabulous snacks, some Cassis treats, and gin and pink tonic, being unconnected from the Internet, a three hour treat ❤️❤️❤️; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙
The Sweet Service Award went to Camps Bay Hardware, and the Sour Service Award to Vodacom.

I have been trying to connect with Judy Lamprecht since Women’s Month to present her with the prize of a bottle of ADHARA extra virgin olive oil, in recognition of our women restauteurs in Cape Town and Winelands, sponsored by Verishnee Meyer of Fraaigelegen Farm in Tulbagh. Judy has become a Facebook friend, and knows so much about me from my posts that she sent her husband off to buy me a gift of some Smarties and even a Smartie chocolate bar, a first for me. We shared experiences of living in Pretoria, all happy to be in the Cape now. Michiel is Mr Automotive, knowing everything about car sales and buying, as well as servicing. #thankyou Judy and Michiel. So lovely to meet you . 💙💙💙
Michele lives on a beautiful historic estate in Constantia, moving there from Camps Bay. She is my Cat Consultant, who gives me excellent advice. We had a lovely relaxed afternoon out on her terrace, with lovely snacks, and catching up on a number of months since last seeing each other. #Merci Michele. ❤️❤️❤️
What an amazing sunset tonight, made more dramatic by the smoke hanging around Camps Bay from the Franschhoek fire. 🔥🌞
We have a party group of four poppies who partied long past midnight last night. The boom boom has already started again. Tonight I’m taking action as the volume is far louder than last night. 😡😡😡
PS: Tonight was the worst noise disturbance I have experienced in the building, since about 19h00. The renters of apartment 202 started banging on my door as if to break it down, on numerous occasions, screamed abuse at me from the balcony, and threatened that they were going to ‘get me’ and kill me. I’ve locked myself inside, in fear. Our fabulous CSI security service came twice, and they called the police. The police warned the renters to not make any further noise. The minute the police left they started the noise again. It took the police two hours to respond to my second call to them. They left at 3h00! Thank goodness the clients check out tomorrow. A horrid end to an otherwise fabulous day.

The Corona Virus Lockdown (Level 5), announced by our President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier to commence on 27 March and to continue until 16 April, subsequently extended to 30 April, lowered to Level 4 from 1 May, lowered to Level 3 from 1 June, lowered to Level 2 from 18 August, lowered to Level 1 from 21 September, and moved back to Adjusted Level 3 from 29 December, extended to 15 February on 11 January, and extended but relaxed on 1 February, is an unprecedented event in my lifetime. I am posting my daily Facebook post to journal this Corona Lockdown Journey, perhaps to serve as material for a future Book.
