Zest Restaurant in Sea Point launches new Vegetarian Spring Menu !

Zest Restaurant at the newkings boutique hotel has launched a new Vegetarian Spring Menu, its Meat/Fish Spring Menu having been launched just over three weeks ago, and receiving rave reviews. Both Spring Menus consist of 5 courses at the very generous price of R198 each.

Zest owner and operator Chef Pavel’s Mediterranean and Asian fusion restaurant has Chef Scott Melvin as Head Chef, and he and his team prepare ‘less is more’ sharing dishes, most cooked on the fire grill and offered in Small and Large plate sizes.  The restaurant mantra is Zest: fresh and local at its best.

Zest Restaurant introduces Spring Menu : 5 courses at R198!

 

The five courses of the Vegetarian Spring Menu are as follows: .

Course 1: Wood fired roast tomatoes, ricotta, fresh basil, olives. (Photograph Right)

 

Course 2: Charred sweet potato, baby spinach, feta, roasted walnuts, pickled raisins.

 

Course 3: Wood fire charred baby marrow, lentils, tomato fondue, grated pecorino Romano

 

Course 4: Pan sautéed portobellini mushrooms, pearl onions, confit tomato, charred broccolini stem. (Photograph left)

 

Course 5: Grilled pineapple, fresh basil, star anise syrup, peanut ice cream, pumpkin and sesame powder.

 

Zest Restaurant offers Breakfasts, Lunch, Dinner, and other in-between meal treats seven days a week, from 7h00. It has a separate soundproof room, catering for special events and family celebrations, as well as business meetings and workshops. The restaurant has a terrace, with an Oyster & Champagne Bar, and lovely sea and sunset views.

Chef Pavel lives in Sea Point. He loves his home suburb, so much so that his Zest Cocktails are named after Sea Point landmarks. The restaurant has a good wine list too, with wines from different terroirs, of different cultivars, and in different price ranges.

Zest Restaurant is located on the second floor of the recently upgraded 4 ⭐️ newkings boutique hotel. The hotel offers attractive rates, and also for guests wishing to stay over after an event or dinner at Zest. Both the restaurant and hotel are located in Piazza da Luz, the well-known centre on Regent Road, housing the Sea Point SPAR and Woolworths.
