Corona Lockdown Level 3: More than 660 Restaurants offer Food & Alcohol Delivery & Collection in Cape Town & Winelands!

Yesterday our new total of Restaurants offering a Food and Alcohol Delivery and Collection Service in Cape Town and the Winelands reached 660, with 4800 members in the Facebook Group which I created at the beginning of May, when the introduction of Level 4 allowed restaurants to open for the Delivery of Food, boosted from 1 June by restaurants being allowed to sell alcohol and to offer a Collection Service from their premises at Level 3.

Monday 8 June 2020, Day 8 of Level 3, after 66 days of Level 4 and 5 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a peaceful organized day; for a sunny day, not too cold even though it only reached 18C, with midday mist; for completing the complicated 4-page Form of the Provincial Tourism authority, sending it with 5 certificates of support, after getting all the certificates stamped at the police station; for getting my admin work for the day done quickly; for a shorter walk than normal, my hip being very painful today, probably due to the change in weather coming soon; for a lovely snooze this afternoon; for a long chat to restaurateur Ian Halfon, who is opening a mega Food Delivery and Collection service from Friday onwards (Blogpost tomorrow); and for being fit and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Friday 5 June 2020, Day 5 of Level 3, after 66 days of levels 5 and 4 😷

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a very good clean day; for the happy news that the Argentinian AirBnB clients left today, after 73 Days of being locked up/down in our block of flats together; for having Jameson’s left to celebrate with 🥃; for an exercise walk early this morning, getting up to the start of Clifton, despite my hip playing up today for the first time in months; for my back-up Health App in recording my steps the last three days, I never acknowledging it, as an alternative to FitBit, my walk this morning not recorded at all by FitBit; for having Leah here to do a spring clean deluxe, after almost 3 months of little cleaning; for fabulous service at Tiger Wheel & Tyre for the Discovery Insure vehicle inspection and receiving my garage card as well as device in my car to monitor my driving, a very painless process; for a lovely mild day, despite a chill in the air late morning; for the City Council staff repainting the red lines on Victoria Road, and learning what the zig zag lines stand for; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →

Corona Gratitude 🙏

#Grateful for a beautiful sunny day, with a hint of summer, at 20C; for having a second sleep this morning, with my Minsky 🐱 lying next to me; for a calm and peaceful day in all respects; for surviving a wine estate vehicle racing through the newly painted pedestrian crossing in Camps Bay; for surviving being in Sea Point; for meeting the lovely Mark Cromhout, whose photographs I so admire, and always chuffed when he likes one of mine on Instagram, thinking he is a professional photographer (@cromhout_views); for a lovely sunset; and for being happy and healthy. 🙏💙 Continue reading →
